February, 2016

Dear Teens and Parents,

NPH USA and Father Frank’s Kids are in the process of organizing its 10th annual summer mission trip for teens to Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos Guatemala. This trip allows these teens to respond to their call as disciples of Jesus Christ. Through baptism, we are all called into ministry, especially having a preferential option for the poor, homeless, sick, orphaned, widowed and imprisoned. This trip will enable our teens to enter into another culture and language, and more specifically, the lives of orphaned and abandoned children.

Teens will also have a greater understanding of poverty and cultural differences. It will especially help them distinguish between “needs” and “wants.” It is difficult in our country to make that distinction. The teens normally walk away with a greater appreciation for what they have and can see the difference they can make in the life of someone less fortunate.

Lastly, this trip provides an opportunity to live and work with the orphans and experience firsthand how Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos has changed their lives. From past experience, this trip has also changed the lives of the participants. This trip provides an opportunity for teens to witness the impact that their generosity makes in the life of others less fortunate. It models the importance of caring and sharing with one another, which is the epitome of stewardship

Father Frank’s Kids is taking up to 50 teens on this trip, and chaperones, which will take place this summer, Monday July 6th through Monday July 13th. Mrs. Donna Clancy will be coordinating the Father Frank’s Kids process.

The cost of this trip will be approximately $1,500.00, which includes airfare, ground transportation, room and board at the orphanage and admissions to all excursions. The attached form, along with a $900.00 non-refundable deposit needs to be returned by Tuesday, April 5, 2016.

The attached registration form and deposit needs to be sent to:
